  • November 04, 2023

Submissions for the AIPS Sport Media Awards 2023 edition closed today, Saturday 4 November, at 10 pm Central European Time, with a record of participation: more than 1800 submissions from 141 different countries.

We would like to express our gratitude for believing in this award, the only global prize for sports journalism and sports storytelling, in a very special for AIPS, the association that will turn 100 years old in July 2024.

WHAT NOW? After carefully screening all the submissions, trying to identify if everything is correctly filled and no links or files are missing, our panel of specialists will start rating, in order to make the first cut, the longlists for each category.

At the beginning of 2024, the Executive Committee will then narrow the longlist into a shortlist, that will be handed to the Jury.

The Jury will then start deliberating in order to narrow the shortlist into the Top 10 and then the Podium Candidates.

Finally, the day of the ceremony the winners are announced.

In total, this process involves 40 top professionals from 35 different countries.

We will be publishing all the lists at both aipsmedia and aipsawards.com websites.

CERTIFICATES Participants will receive a first certificate for participation. Then, depending on the final position, a second certificate can be issued.

SPECIAL MENTIONS A total of 24 different mentions and special commendations were issued in the 2022 edition. These are aligned with the values of AIPS and the topics that are considered relevant for the future of sport, journalism and humanity.
