AIPS Sport Media Awards 2020: these are the video categories
LAUSANNE, April 29, 2020 – The AIPS Sport Media Awards 2020 are open, and among eight different categories there’s also room for videomakers!
The video categories are dedicated to those who, on traditional or new media platforms, harness the moving image in sport, from the cameraman to the producer or production team represented by one individual covering a sport event.
Discover the three different video category you can compete in by submitting your best production published between October 7, 2019 and September 8, 2020.

VIDEO ATHLETE PROFILE A video longer than 10 minutes that portrays a captivating, in-depth image of an athlete or a prominent and relevant sport figure. Have a look at the AIPS Sport Media Awards 2019 Winner for this Category: ‘Birthright: becoming Toby Dawson’ by Matthew Allen, NBC Sports.
VIDEO DOCUMENTARY A video longer than 10 minutes that tells a compelling and revealing story about any aspect of the sport world, showing qualitative research and editorial input combined with quality filmmaking. ‘The Kennedy who changed the world’ by Stuart Pollitt of the BBC, won in this category at last years’ edition of AIPS Sport Media Awards
VIDEO SHORT FEATURE A video shorter than 10 minutes in length on any sporting subject with strong storytelling, innovative filming and journalistic relevance. The short feature ‘Sign at all Times: a film about Brian Estrada by Andrew Leibman (Leibmand Productions) was innovative and convinced the AIPS Sport Media Jury to win the first place last year.
