AIPS Sport Media Awards: The Top 10 finalists
LAUSANNE, December 27, 2018 – With less than a month to go
until the winners are announced at a special ceremony in Lausanne, AIPS is
honored to announce the Top 10 finalists of the inaugural edition of the AIPS
Sport Media Awards.
The first edition of the AIPS Awards received an outstanding
total of 1273 submissions from 119 nations around the globe. In submitting
their work for consideration for the eight categories, colleagues from across
the globe engaged in a dialogue of sporting excellence. Such dialogue is
crucial in highlighting the importance of sport media and the need to invest in
its culture and independence.
The Top 10 submissions represent the height of sports
storytelling in all its forms, with 35 nations and 16 languages represented.
Based on voting from the 11-member AIPS Sport Media Awards
jury, the Top 3 finalists in each category will be announced on January 2,
2019.
The Top 3 will be invited to attend the AIPS Sport Media
Awards Ceremony to be held at the Beau Rivage Palace Hotel in Lausanne,
Switzerland on January 21, 2019.
