LAUSANNE, January 18, 2019 – The AIPS Sport Media Awards are just days away, and now, everyone can join in for the global celebration of storytelling and sports media excellence.
The Awards ceremony, scheduled for 7pm CET on Monday, January 21 at Lausanne’s Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel will be broadcast via AIPS Media 1924 Facebook LIVE and via live satellite signal available through Eurovision’s WorldFeed service in collaboration with AFP.
Through the WorldFeed service, more than 1000 broadcasters from around the world will be able to pre-book and pick up the signal free of charge and free of rights content.
The AIPS Sport Media Awards received an outstanding total of 1273 submissions from 119 countries. On January 21, the winners will be announced across eight categories in Writing, Video, Audio and Photography, and two Special Awards  - A Life in Sport and Investigative Reporting.
The moment of glory will come after a vote, finalized the day before, by the 12-member AIPS Sport Media Awards Jury.
We are counting on our colleagues worldwide to tune in. Spread the word. To save the timeslot, advise their broadcasters, media channels, news agencies and sports media colleagues. And most importantly, to join us in honoring sports journalism, and those that dedicate their time passion and excellence to our profession
And after the winners are announced and the show is over? Thirty minutes later, the broadcast will be available online via the Eurovision platform (https://www.eurovision.net)
