Many sports, many dreams: top events raise expectations for AIPS Sport Media Awards

LAUSANNE, May 28, 2019 - What a season! With sport there’s always a story. And with a story, there’s a potential submission for the AIPS Sport Media Awards, the international prize that chooses the best storytellers across all platforms.

The second season of the AIPS Sport Media Awards allows sports journalists, photographers and video makers to compete for prizes and glory: Who wouldn’t like to be nominated as one of the world’s best sport storytellers?

Every journalist has the chance to submit for free, participate and win, based on the decision of the Executive Committee and the Jury. All submitted works must be published between September 18, 2018 and October 7, 2019, thus opening a huge window of big international events that will be comprised in the period of participation.

AND MANY MORE… We are really looking forward to receiving submissions from all these top events. But it’s worth to underline the open and democratic style of the Awards. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been covering one of the mainstream events or just a small, regional tournament. What matters is the quality, the angles and the contents of the stories.

In our first edition, we had winners from the FINA World Swimming Championships, but also awarded pictures coming from Germany’s Third Division rugby league or the youth training of gymnasts in China.
